Throughout my university degree and my professional experiences I have actively participated in activities in the school and university. Integrated within the early childhood aspects of my course was the emphasis on nature pedagogy and students been exposed to a range of resources which included natural and real world materials. A workshop was done at the university around the elements of fire and water and how these could be safety integrated into the framework and provide students with engaging hands on experiences. As an educator and an it is important to be part of the school community and the activities it offers. This is so you get to know the school environment and the students and staff better but also being exposed to new ways practices
