What Is A Literacy Circle

Literacy Circle is a comprehensive approach that teaches students of self-awareness of their work through the conversation. And the aim is to provide a deeper holistic perception of the text (book).These literacy lessons are important for the cognitive development of the personality of the student, which helps to orient kids in the book. Of course, each lesson should be interesting, logical, orderly, cognitive, active as of the child must be "charged" the reader's interest by having a particular interest in reading. For me, as a student who had this kind of practice was such curious experience that during every circle meeting provided a new task (a role). This is the very helpful approach that brings the students to meet the goals of literacy and create the meaningful understandings. As if in the process of their dialogue the children "build new knowledge" and master in the practice of new literary concepts that are necessary for the development and realization of artistic images. After that experience, the collective (group) activity of children can gradually move into the individual process. Students independently read, reflect, create their texts, written questions, and to illustrate the work. In their conversations or dialogue with the authors, with their classmates through the space of textual material, it can open many “channels” of the students, through which will be pulled the strings of their souls, their inner world to the mind of the author. It is important to understand what is happening to the little reader in the classroom, as it matures, why ask such questions, why is silent or in which case the dispute. Besides, Literacy Circle is the idea of cooperative learning where students convey their understanding of the text and teach how to use each other’s resources to have deeper pay attention to details during analyzation of the text. This experience will help to learn how to become cannier and brainstorming.
