What Is A Family Essay

Everybody has a family. Families come in many shapes and sizes. Everybody thinks about the idea of a family in different ways. Some people think a family is all about having a mom and dad whom are married and they have kids and their kids have kids. It 's the nuclear family, the traditional family. Others like myself think there are hundreds of types of family. I 'm open minded to all types of families, work families, gay parent families, single parent families, etc. In my family alone there are many different households. My household is a single parent home. I live with my mom, brother, and sister. A small family of four, that I am so fortunate to have and I thank God everyday for choosing them as my family. This year we met up at my God mothers house, and it wasn 't many of us but it was better that way. I must say that I really enjoy being Hispanic because everything is always a huge celebration. Everyone brings a dish, and the food is always amazing. This time we decided to meet a little early so that we could have more time together with each other. We met around 430-5ish. We played loud music all night. We played all types of music and of course we dance all night. My family knows how to have a good time. Before all the dancing thought we did all sit down at the table and had a very great dinner and conversation. After we ate we had a couple of drinks because what better way to celebrate. Drinking, talking, and dancing. Oh, and we also played board games and drinking games because my family loves to bond in all types of ways. Especially with dancing. We literally dance and laugh all night. That is what family is all about. It 's about having a great time together allowing us to forget about the worries and troubles happening in the world around us. Family is suppose to comfort you in ways no one else can and I am very happy to say that my family has been able to accomplish this in unimaginable ways. I love them so
