A drive or motivator is a force or reason that compels one to do something. Thus, for a motivator to be effective there must be a cause and effect chain reaction that will impact the decision taken.

Being a nurse, I always have to be on my feet and help anyone who enters the hospital, as their lives rest on us. A main motivator that impacts my performance at work is the willingness to have empathy and compassion towards the patients in a way with the goal of restoring or improving their health. Additionally, another main motivator for performance at work is the willingness to help others. Lastly, the final main motivator is the cooperation and support of other co-workers and supervisors.
