What interest or passions will you revolve your STP around?
The interest/ passion I am going to pursue for my STP project will be the passion of helping people. I will be proving to the meals on wheels community that I do like to help people and listen to what they have to say.

I have always liked helping people especially the elderly. I have always found an interest in making people feel better. When I was little I would help my great grandmother keep track of my great grandfather and make sure he was taken care of. That is where this passion stems from.

My junior year in high school, I became a student mentor in our campus’s peer counseling program. This was an incredibly rewarding experience as I had the opportunity to help freshman students assimilate into our high school dynamic. As a peer mentor, I assisted students with personal problems and mediated issues with teachers in order to maximize their learning experience. I also acted as a role model for my mentees by talking frequently about AP and Honors courses and how to be successful in such programs. I put effort into learning about each individual's interests and goals so that I could expose them to clubs and academic courses that they may appreciate such as the Biomedical Academy or our school’s robotics team.…

What am I good at is a question to ponder, however, the first think that comes to my mind is a talent that I work towards improving, golf. Every day I work towards improvement and when I think about it I also see it as my passion. In this case I think that both the mind and the heart overlap. While I am good at it because it challenges me it also forces me into uncomfortable positions. Many would think that they wouldn’t want to do something that isn’t easy and a breeze but that is where the passion comes for the game, because it isn’t something that I have a lot of experience in other sports.…

I have always been known as being that person who has always been intact and has never shown a single ounce of weakness, because people view me this way, they think I am unbreakable, and that nothing in the world can wound me. I have always been that person that people turn to when they are stuck in a bottomless pit and cannot find a way to get out, because of this, I have always had an interest in being there for those who need a shoulder to accompany them. Since I was very young, I always clung to the passion of being at the side of others who were struggling, and were in desperate need of help. I played with baby dolls until I was ten years old, I would bathe them, I would change them, I would feed them, I would take them out for walks, and I treated them as if the plastic baby actually contained a human heart.…
