What influences general health? Many individuals might not think outside of the box when this question comes up. Most of the populations believe that the only factors that affect public health are food and physical activity. However, that is not true. There is a lot of factors that contribute to general health such as economic information. Some financial information could be considered education, income, employment, etc. Many economic issues are seen in many communities such as in Los Angeles County. For instance, researchers have found that 40% of social and economic factors in Los Angeles County contribute to the health factors (Senterfitt, Long, Shih, & Teutsch, 2013).
