Girls are usually kinder and gentler than boys, so the girl would presumptively sympathize with Piggy and the littl’uns and stand up against Jack. However, that would make her disliked, especially if she wanted to keep the fire going for rescue. If the girl tried to keep order on the island, she wouldn’t be able to keep it up, and she might even get killed by Jack and his hunters, like Piggy.
