There are 2.2 billion Christians. 32 percent of the world 's population is christian. For most of people 's lives they are taught and raised to live by the rules of a religion. I want to know if there is one true religion. Every Sunday I got to church, because I am a christian. After the service I realized that most of our lives are spent worshiping, praising, and living by a religion. I told my mom “I know that Christianity is the only true religion”. She told me “think about the miracles that occur in every religion”. I started to think about everybody else in this world and how other people live by other religions. I started to think about what I was taught about Christianity. I asked my mom “is everyone else in the world going to go to hell because they were raised to live by something they had no control over”. She …show more content…
People including myself spend our whole lives doing things we think will lead us to a higher place or no where after life. The most common place we do that is living by a religion. When we are born we are most likely told to live by something we have no idea about and are forced to live the rest our lives by it. I compared different religions and atheist. Finding out if there 's one true religion would help me and others on living the only life we have without wasting it. The research made me think about religions about how different they are. The research made me think about how answering this question is probably the closest thing to impossible. During research I began reading the bible more and it made me realize why I live by the religion I do. While researching I realized that by getting the right answer I would have to research millions of religions. So I decided to research the major ones. My opinions did not change they stayed the same. At the end of the day we will probably never get the right

Many people don’t know what they want to be when they “grow up”, as for my mother she didn’t know what type of religion she wanted to be in when she “grew up”. However, she did know the basics that she believed in which was God, the Holy Spirit, his son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Bible that being said she considered herself Christian and raised me as a Non-Denominational Christian. That was until my senior year of High School when my mom decided she no longer wanted to be part of the Non-Denominational Christian faith and switched over to becoming part of the LDS faith known as the Mormons and flipped my life upside-down with their different views of norms and values. Growing up Non-Denominational Christian is fairly simple faith and to me…

If people do not believe, there would not be any religion. Also there must have been a story told, and this doesn’t mean experience (experience doesn’t make a religion). In other words, someone needs to tell and people to believe it. In a religion, there could be hundreds or even thousands of different sects and they all have this idea in common which is they are the true religion. There needs to have a story for a religion to be made, the story may or may not be true but if people believe it, they will probably have a sense of control; and maybe then they will agree upon what is true and what is not.…

Going to church was a very eye opening experience, especially since it was nothing was I expected it to be. I expected to have to put on a nice dress and sing some songs from a book and then listen to a man talk for an hour about nothing that I knew. But that wasn’t the case. I am very glad that I chose to go to a new church, because it was not only a good topic for a paper, but I was also an experience that could possibly change the rest of my…
