Sometimes in life, one has to take chances. I was not sure of that until I strapped myself down in the scariest rollercoaster at Six Flags Fiesta amusement park. My heart was running a marathon as the ride climbed to the peak. My sweaty palms were glued on the back of a passenger’s headrest. My life was depending on it.…
Officially, starting from that day, my life was filled with elation and happiness. I never want to forget the time I started reading Maximum Ride. Starting off my day, I woke up from bed, gulped down some chow, and went back to sitting on my more than comfortable bed, reading the book of my future dreams: “Maximum Ride.” It was necessary to read this book, for a competition, called, Battle of the Books. Continuing on, the deeper I read into the book, the more hooked into the book I was.…
I Rode Go Karts! By: Ezekiel T. When my grandpa and grandma bought two go karts, one was red and one was yellow. My grandpa let help put it together with him.…
Sit back, buckle up, and get ready to scream because I love roller coasters. My family and I go to Cedar Point about every month in the summer, and my dad and I go and ride everything in the park. It is just so fun! The one thing I really like about roller coasters is that there are little rides for the youth kids also. My least favorite thing is when I am not tall enough to enjoy a ride, which doesn’t really occur anymore.…
I worked at Ahead with Horses at Sullivan Canyon for my community service. Ahead With Horses is an organization that helps many different disabled people, mostly kids, to help them overcome some aspects of their disability. Ahead With Horses throws many different activities like fairs and parties that many of the clients attend. They have a “horse show” where the kids walk around on the horses and sit in different places on the saddle. Ahead with Horses goal is to help disabled, disadvantaged and special-needs children by providing developmental therapy, education and recreation through horseback riding.…
My Ride-A-long was on Tuesday, November 28th from 7:00 am to 14:00 pm with the Police Officer Morton Campbell. When I got to the police department I had to wait for Officer Campbell for an hour. I took advantage of the moment and the Officer Jose Garcia took me to a mini tour of the area. During the wait a citizen came to make a report, Officer Garcia did not use codes but asked her some questions and said it was a lost property report. She went to report that she had lost her wallet, she had forgotten it on the bus, she realized that she had lost it a day later and she waited a week to report it.…
When I ride it's like the earth stops at every corner so I can check to make sure a, loud, car isn't roaring towards me. It's like that feeling in your chest that tells you that everything is going to be ok, yet your mind is screaming at you that it won't be. I ride because I was thought that you need to be active in life, but it was never about the one hour of activity time we are supposed to have growing up. it was much more than that. I didn't need help to ride, I needed help to face down my enemies, or conquer my dreams.…
Introduction -We started off watching the stunt show and then me and Morgan went to a store to look around. Then me and Morgan went to the racer to ride it a couple times . It was like 4:30 when I got tired walking around the park for hours. Time was getting late and I got scared by myself it was scary , to be by myself for a little while.…
I first realized I was in foreign territory when I witnessed my boss take a drag of a marijuana joint, take a shot of whiskey and walk out of the bar with a girl he had just met at our show. Suddenly, I was thrust into a world I had never experienced before. I was merely a boy surrounded by middle-aged men, who were seasoned veterans in the field of musical touring. The closest person to myself in age was 10 years my elder. I had not known the hardships I would soon be witnessing while out on the road.…
If you have never taught a little girl how to ride a bike, you might want to check the brakes first. This is going to be about the time I taught my sister how to ride a bike. On a warm summer day in July my sister was constantly asking if I would teach her how to ride a bike. I finally I decided to go outside and teach her how to ride her bike. She started off with teaching her how to balance.…
Vrooooooommmm my dad gets my very first dirt bike out of the back of the pickup. He drives it over to me and says, “want to drive it?” Of course like any kid, I said yes, so I got on the bike and gave it a lot of gas, then slowly let go of the clutch out. Before I knew it I was going faster and faster. Then the next thing I know it is dark and I need to put the bike in the garage for the very next day.…
Today was the day I would be in a soccer team. I got out of school and running home and eventually I got home ready. But I had to go eat. “Come eat dear” said my aunt. I felt like butterflies in my stomach that's why I didn't really eat that much, but my aunt gave me a 2 dollar bill and I asked her what is this I said,”She said good luck”, but i didn't get it so It was getting late…
If we were taking a bike ride in the afternoon my dad, sister, and I would make our way uptown to the square where my dad would treat us to ice cream at Smokey Row. Then we would meander on the curves of the trail. Sometimes, I would bring a plastic bag with me and stop to pick up trash along the way. I have always appreciated how trees look and I hated seeing them covered in plastic and debris from the nearby highway. On nice summer days, we would also take our bikes to run errands instead of taking the car.…
There was no time for a break, we were off to the next one. By “one”, I mean roller coaster, but this wasn’t just any other roller coaster, this was the Dragster. The record breaking, rapid and towering Dragster which was located at the amusement park Cedar Point, in Ohio. I watched my friends walk briskly in front of me anticipating the next thrill. We were walking with Baylee in front, Abby following her, Tiffany next, Megan after her, and Alyssa dragging behind with me.…
The Bike It all started on the first day of summer vacation. Yesterday, I finished first grade; I felt really proud. I felt like I could accomplish everything. Then it came to me; I wanted to learn how to ride a bike. A real bike, not one with training wheels, just like all the big kids who I saw everyday, zooming past my house on the gravel road.…
