My writing skills are not the best. I did not write a lot of essays in high school, and when I did I only wrote them a certain style. Entering English in college, I expected to become a better writer, but instead I learned how to write different styles from reading other writers’ essays. This semester in Dr. Meyer’s class I wrote and read a lot. Dr. Meyer made the whole class read different readings every day. I learned new things from the different readings. The readings I read did help me improve my writing. I had to write essays similar to some readings such as my identity paper. Reading the works of others gave me more of insight of how writing is supposed to be. I want to be an all-around writer instead of just knowing one style of writing really well. I feel reading these essays every day, and learning about the different styles of writing helped me get a wider array of knowledge. I will need to use what I learned this semester for next semester as well. Next semester will be even more reading and …show more content…

In the future, I know I will always be writing about

Reflection During this course, I learned how to write in more formal format and learned to write in APA format, since I have been writing in MLA format since my middle school. I learned how to use citations more efficient and use them more carefully to prove my opinion and make the audience relate and like what they are reading. Another thing, I am really glad that I learned was how to write my paper toward a specific audience, not just to everyone in general. Also, I learned how to use the WPA outcomes…
