What I Learned In An ACA Class

Decent Essays
I am currently taking ACA which is a college level class. This class will help me prepare for test, taking notes, and managing my time. So far I have learned how to do each one of these a lot better than before. I feel like when I get in college I will be prepared than I would have been without taking this class.
When I first started my High School years I had really high expectations than I did in elementary school or even in middle school. I really wanted to make straight A’s and make the highest on all the tests. I have changed some since then I have realized I do not always have to have highest grades or all A’s as long as I pass the class. I have made A’s, B’s and one C since I started High School I had never made a C before I was really upset. It made me determined to make an A next semester.

These skills include The Cornell Format, Outline Format, Paragraph Format, and List Format. This have helped me a lot with my notes in the classes I am taking this semester. I have also learned skills for taking test. These skills include asking the instructor about the exam, managing my time wisely and focusing more on studying than my phone. I have also learned how to manage my time wisely. To study a little everyday instead of waiting till the last day to cram it all in.
My high school experience so far has been the best. I have learned so much to help me better prepare for college and even life. Even my ACA class has helped so much. I can not wait to go to college and use the skills I have

The most visible challenges associated with the ACA is the expansion of Medicaid under the patient protection .The population having access to affordable health care and insurance has been an issue in the United States for an extensive period of time. National and State health care policies have been implemented, such as Medicaid for the poor and Medicare for senior citizens. However, until ACA, there has been no extensive national health insurance public policy to cover adults who do not fall into these two categories. This means those who make too much to receive Medicaid and those who are too young to receive Medicare are left to make the decision of whether or not to purchase health insurance for themselves and their families.…

It is important to develop skills that will not only improve your life but also your college life experience. Upon looking at the General Education Competencies that appears on the class syllabus, I decided on which skills are most important to develop in my humble opinion. One skill for example, that I find particularly essential is the ability to research and examine information, resources, and evidence that are both for academic use and those that are not necessarily for academic use. My reasoning is that, being able to have evidential support to what you are stating is critical since what you say typically follows you for the rest of your life.…

Over the course of English 102, I have developed a new set of skills and learned to become a better writer. When I first came into English 102 I struggled with many different concepts of writing. During the semester in English 102, my writing became stronger because I learned how to incorporate evidence into my argument, do more thorough research, have smoother transitions, and have more organization throughout my essay. I learned how to peer review better and to take what others say and incorporate it into my essay. In the beginning, before English 102, I struggled with good organization and flow to an essay, sandwich evidence into paragraphs, and having strong arguments in persuasive essays.…
