My Reflection In The History Of The Bible

This class from the beginning until now I have learned more and more about the Bible. I can’t say that I knew everything prior to this class as that wouldn’t be the truth. The difficult part each week would have been choosing the most significant thing I learned each week because I felt as though I always learned more than one. The history of the Bible, the disciples, and the life, death and resurrection of Jesus and his community are important events that I have reflected on the most throughout the class. As I learned about the history of how we got the Bible I was so influenced by the back story. “The Bible was written over a 1500 year span” (How We Got the Bible). Learning how long it took to get the Bible showed me how things that are in the Bible could have been misinterpreted. The stories of the people that were willing to die in order to read the Bible in their own language pops the question, “Are we still willing to die to read the Gospel?” Will we continue to take the Bible for granted? I am grateful for the ability to be able to find a Bible in my own language everywhere I go. I believe in my heart that I would be willing to die for others to learn the Way. Throughout the class I have become more grateful that Jesus had his disciples, because of them they have enlightened us on Jesus’ life. The life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is important as it teaches us to love one another and to not take the life we have today for granted. Every day we learn new things, using and teaching them throughout our everyday lives is important as others may not have known. When we teach the things we learn to others it helps us to become leaders, be that at home or in the
