Reflective Essay On Group Class

I actually learned a lot from this Group Process class during this semester. My impression of this class’s characteristic is that we have to use common conversation in our group to get to know each other in simple ways such as regarding our everyday life activities. And, I find out that there are three important aspects that are keys through this process class. Firstly, it is a totally different teaching style, that is leaning from the practical way without too much theory. Secondly, it is a kind of process to train our ability to observe others and myself. Lastly, the process group shows us how to express our inner experience or feelings in order to release the negative emotion.
At the begging of the class, I started to know my classmates

As I observe closely, I could determine their spiritual state of whether they are calm, fevered, sensitive. This also reveals their inner sentiment emotion as it would express through their appearance. After a period, I start to pay attention to what was going to hurt people that cause serious scar within them for a long time. The main point is so I could try to avoid giving those traumas to other in my daily life. On the other hand, to be more understanding what human beings’ real needs is in the future.
Through some previous classes of observing others, and I started to apply those methods back to myself that could be called self-observing. When I was telling the life experience or story, my mind can go deeper and be more open when I started to seek the life process, my inner state has been changed with the story process gradually and naturally. Thus, I considered that what happens to me may also extend to the other, because everyone has the same Buddha nature, in a sense, I can use what I discovered from this spiritual class to help alleviate (catch up) others people inner feeling and spiritual state as

During this summer session of ENGL101A, I have learned multiple ways to express myself through my writing. In fact, before signing up for this class, I did not know the proper way to compose an academic essay for a particular audience, and how to properly cite my sources. Nevertheless, after the short summer session, I am able to define my purpose and audience, analyze critically any piece of information, and write with proper citations and fewer grammatical errors with confidence. Through the short time of 5 weeks, I learned how to focus on my audience as well as how to define the purpose of my papers as academically as possible.…

No matter where you go or went to school, you always have some type of English class that forces you to write papers. These papers usually has to be a certain way or over a certain topic. To me that was a pretty big problem for me because I could do free writing easy, but when you tell me to write about something that I don 't have any interest in and I have to follow your “rules”, then I will just try to blow it off. I have always hated the way Professors and the world had this “image” of their version of a “perfect” essay. I always messed up on the rules like where to put my commas or semicolons, that to me is the hardest part to not have a run- on sentence.…

Post Course Reflection During this course, I learned how to write in more formal format and learned to write in APA format, since I have been writing in MLA format since my middle school. I learned how to use citations more efficient and use them more carefully to prove my opinion and make the audience relate and like what they are reading. Another thing, I am really glad that I learned was how to write my paper toward a specific audience, not just to everyone in general. Also, I learned how to use the WPA outcomes and habits of minds.…

Throughout the year, as a class we have been given many different challenges in either the form of an essay, speech, or group presentation. The final assignment given to us was a group project presentation. From growing up in an age filled with technology, I have come to love projects that revolve around making some form of a PowerPoint presentation. This PowerPoint though, was both difficult and interesting for the reasons of being assigned group members not of my own choosing, learning to listen to others ideas which can help me to learn something new, and using former knowledge while working together to create a clean, in depth, and well prepared presentation. With working in groups of students whom I have known since I was young but…

When I walked into this class, my first reaction to small groups was I needed to keep my emotions out as much as possible and learn to keep up boundaries. Emotions can get tricky when talking to other people about their problems. My focus on this program is to be a trauma therapist for kids. I believed that taking small groups would help me become a better professional in the field and now more than ever I can say I learned more in this class that I ever thought I would from a one semester class. Thinking about what small group’s entails I always pictured a circle with chairs, talking about a deep intimate topic that everyone is shy about.…

I wanted to recap on the gifts of imperfection because they taught me many lessons while reading this book. Brown has given me a new perspective or lens to look through as it relates to courage, compassion, and connection. Personally, I tend to be a person who seeks to please and receive approval from others in order to feel good enough at time. Therefore, I really don’t allow myself to be vulnerable in certain circumstances because I don’t know how others will react to it. This has caused me to be hindered in ways that I could have been set free.…

I have been taking this class for nearly three months. During three months, I learned a lot about small group communication, especially the group climate and interaction are going well in our group. Our group works well on building and keeping positive attitude to our assignments and supportive climate. Each group member devotes to create an atmosphere that our group is the best group. For instance, our group member Erik and Jo always said some words of praise and encouragement, such as “we are really a good group”.…
