What I Do and Why I Do It
There are about 7.3 billion people around the world. Thus every single human has a unique personality that can explain why they behave in a certain way and influences how they spend their leisure time. However, I believe people’s past experiences, family values, race and the environment in which they are raised shape the person they become and the type of activities, music, food and movies they enjoy or even how they dress and interact with others. According to the results of Keirsey’s Personality Temperment Sorter I have an Extrovert, Sensing, Thinking, and judging (ESTJ) personality. In addition, according to Kalil’s True Colors assessment I identify myself with gold (write a little bit more). In this paper I will be addressing the discovery of myself. Such as the way I think, behave, and the reasons of why I enjoy certain activities. I will also be talking about each of the results I obtained from the personality assessments and how each of these personality trait influences my leisure choices.
According to Keirsey (1984) “ To preserve the establishment, to keep it healthy, steady, balanced, well insured, that what is enjoyable and satisfying to the ESTJ.” I have always considered my self the type of person who likes to follow the rules and looks for stability in life. I like knowing what I have to do and when I have to do it. I usually keep a planner with me to remember important dates, such as school date lines, birthdays, anniversaries or…
