There is not one definition for happiness. I believe that defining happiness is like trying to define God, it’s a powerful concept that is hard to explain with words because it is something you have to experience within. Happiness is a unique feeling that only one can express for themselves. This is why millions of books on happiness get sold. It’s a feeling that that humans long for but are truly misled on how to make this feeling permanent. I believe that this is why our society is suffering; from the highest rates of anxiety, depression and suicide ever in history. America is known for selling happiness. Businesses market their products with the idea that if you buy it will make you happy and this leads to an ideal society of materialistic …show more content…
Be aware of the beauty of the world and beautiful people. Be aware of this unique time in history. Be aware of the good things people are doing around you. Be aware of people promoting love and joy. Be aware of your blessings and appreciated all you have. The seventh thing, I would recommend a person keeping a happiness diary. I would simply ask that as an easy practice you write down things you appreciate and things that made you smile or laugh. Write down any acts of kindness. I believe by doing this we are allowing time for people to focus on the positive things in life. This journal will be an outlook and a reminder to that person that happiness can be achieved and here are things you experienced that made you happy. The next thing I would promote is love. I think it’s important that people understand that love is real and in order to achieve love one must put their “EGO” side. Love is the prime commandment and core of human needs. Love and happiness are intertwined with one another. Love is about how you feel for that person rather than what you want from them. The next thing a person can do is educate themselves this will allow for one to have a better understanding of the world and themselves. This will make it easier for that person to become self-realization. This allows for a person to have critical thinking and questions things such as happiness and love. The last thing I would recommend is that a person seeks out experience and physical activity. Attend music festivals and go climb up mountains. Be spontaneous and live life to the fullest. This allows for people to experience a complete sense of confidents and accomplishments.
There is no one answer to happiness. It is something you have to achieve for yourself. I believe it is very possible to gain internal happiness although it’s not easy to achieve because of outside forces and distractions within. Everyone hold their own key their happiness it cannot be

The author of “Happiness and Its Discontents”, Daniel Haybron views happiness as an entire emotional spectrum that is affected by several factors such as life satisfaction and being exposed to both pain and pleasure. Whereas Ed Diener and Robert Biswas-Diener the authors of “Can Money Buy Happiness”, describe happiness as the emotion someone feels when they obtain an object they believe will improve their life and can be acquired within their means.
