In the book The Guardian Herd: Stormbound the main Starfire, or just Star has to go through some pretty tough times, after all he is the black foal. The black foal, star is a foal that harnesses power from the hundred year star, “ The Hundred Year Star was gone from the sky, but in its place has star himself, the black foal of Anok, the most powerful pegasus alive.”. On your first birthday the hundred year star can give you the power of a healer, which will renight the herds. Or, you get to be the destroyer, the one who will leave the pegasi of Anok a terrible fate. Luckily star becomes a healer, at least he thinks so, “But what if I am not the healer, what if I am the destroyer?” “ Then I will break my wings and jump off a cliff.”. Star already feels the pressure. Star has to believe he is the healer to be the healer, he can’t be the foal he once was, he has to fight for his herd. …show more content…
He has to protect them with his life. “ The herd trusts him because he didn't destroy them with the power he received, but now they wanted him to protect them.” He finally does not feel like a dud, and an outcast. “The herd had become adept at ignoring his presence, and star remembered how that felt.” ( this is referring to Brackentail and how star remember what it felt like to be an outcast) Star is a bit upset and confused, “He understood why they thought he knew what he was doing, he looked like a pegasus leader, but star was unsure” he does not know what to do or where to migrate his herd to. He is just falling apart. This shows that Star is unsure of what to do and where he even got the idea to start a herd, he is realizing he needs help and
