1. What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?
I consider myself a very committed and dedicated person. I like to put time and effort to my job in order to perform well my tasks and satisfy my clients. Also, I am not afraid to perform new tasks and learn new skills. On the other hand, I lack accounting experience since I have been working on the field for only six months now. I need to improve my software skills in order to be more efficient while entering taxpayers’ information on tax software and preparing financial statements on QuickBooks.
2. What have you done that shows initiative and willingness to work?
As a bookkeeper, my job depends on the information clients give me and how soon they give it to me, so I like to take the initiative to call them or email them to request the work papers necessary. I am always following up with the clients to record accurate information as soon as possible. In addition, I like to tell my supervisor to assign me clients as soon as she gets the information from them, so that I can work on them as soon as possible and have their tax return done before the deadline, so I don’t have to rush myself later on.
