Technology is improving every day. Making it easy to access different things on the Internet. Technology contains many private data bases that can be obtained through anybody. It also gives people access to do things, that shouldn’t be done. Technology has changed America in an unsatisfactory way.

Paying your bills online give someone access to your billing statements. They can get a hold of your bills and find out where someone lives. They can take your account number on your bill to access other information on you. Some bills contain your social security number and once a person has access to your social security number, they have access to your life. They can also take your credit card number, that leads to our second way your identity can be taken. Online shopping with a credit card. Credit cards is easier to keep up with your money. However, when shopping online you have to be careful, because some sites are not secure. They will not keep all your information safe. Giving others access to your credit card and taking piece by piece until you are whipped out.
However, I understand why some may say technology has change America in a satisfactory way. Technology help incriminate people. People are posting many unlawful things that can later catch up to them. People post weapons on the internet, they later used for murder. Technology holds people records. Once you post something on the internet it can never get erased. They do not consider what they post on the internet. Technology gives you the ability to video record things. In the midst of a technologically saturated lifestyle, I stand by the idea that technology’s impact on the United States was once empowering, but has began to hinder the minds of average Americans. Many individuals go about their day without recognition of their use of short cuts that weren’t available a mere ten years ago, let alone the use of developed inventions that began one hundred years ago. I feel immensely fortunate to be apart of what seems like one of the last generations to physically understand what the human race has grown from because technology has shifted our mental and physical capacity to comprehend and teach information. Regardless of the negative and positive perspectives upon technological advances, the emergence of…

Technology has negatively changed the American food supply as well as our diets over the past 50 years. Technology is always improving to make make our lives easier by creating machines to do things for us. For example, microwaves they heat up our foods in a matter of a few minutes. Today almost everyone in the American household owns a microwave in their home. Pollan backs this statement up by saying “They point out in 1980 less than 10 percent of Americans owned a microwave by 1999 that figure has reached 83 percent of households, As technology reduces the time, cost of food, we tend to eat more of it”.…

Shames asserts that Americans have been influenced by the frontier belief “that America would keep on booming” (para. 9). I feel that this belief continues to be influential into the twenty-first century. People may not be realized how the circumstances are changing around them, but if they compare between the past and the present, it is really easy to know many things have been changing and improving. People have been willing to seek more valuable and convenient things in life even in the past, and there are many elements that would last to improve for a long time, especially various types of technology. Since there are many kinds of technology that have been improved in America, such as in the medical field or the mechanical engineering,…

What they don’t know is that anyone with a basic knowledge of technology could hack in and see what they are doing. Not only that, but the government at any time could see what they have done.…

In a society that is already full of “technology users” who ignore the most important things in life, we see the schools who are very adamant to keep the student from using their own technology, adding school assignments onto the internet.…

As you walk down the street if you are not already doing this yourself, you see everybody staring down at your phone or ipad. Americans walk around with their heads tilted towards the ground staring at the little rectangle in their hands. It is almost like the little rectangle controls their minds, giving them directions on how to live their lives, almost as if they can’t live without it.
