When I was younger, I didn’t know what I wanted to do. Until I met my kindergarten teacher. She didn’t just teach us colors, numbers, or shapes. She also taught us things that will benefit us in life, such as, tying shoes, opening the door for the elderly, how to sneeze away from others and how to clean up after ourselves. Unfortunately, a few months later, we were assigned a new teacher. This teacher influenced me to become a teacher not because of what she did, but how she made us felt. She made us feel that we could accomplish anything we set our minds to.

Growing up working twice as hard as the other kids and proving that there’s nothing mentally wrong with you is a rough thing to do. The obstacles I had to encounter when I was young changed my life for the better, with the help of my father. When my parents got divorced and my father left my daily life, I’ll never forget what he said to me. He said, “Seneca. Just because someone may leave your life, it doesn’t mean to stop pushing for success. Everyone that has enter or may enter your life, you can learn from them. So don’t give up!
