What Happened To Margot

Everything was silent; all that could be heard was the sound of thunder and the cold rain coming from outside. Everyone pushed William closer to Margot, signaling him to apologize. He just stood there. “I- I- um…” William shook as he tried to utter his apology. He looked at Margot seeing her face stained red from her tears. He didn’t want to see her bloodshot eyes. When the teacher walked in, she wasn’t happy with what she saw. She wondered why Margot was crying with her classmates just standing there watching her. The teacher wanted them to yell, but didn’t want to startle Margot, so she ordered them to sit down and to finish reading the story they were half way through.

“Then let's hear it.” Margot opened her mouth, but it quickly had been shut from William jumping in.
“Well, it started when Margot wrote this stupid poem that she didn’t even write herself!”
“Yes I did.” Margot whispered, “Word by word that little poem was made by me.” Margot’s father patted her on her shoulder.
“Anyways,” William continued. He told the whole story up until the part when the class let her out. The one part that struck Margot was when William said that she locked herself in the closet. Margot still didn’t say anything until it was her turn to tell the story.
“Well,” Margot mumbled “ The first part of William said was true, but the part with the closet wasn’t right. I didn’t lock myself in the closet, you guys did.” William had his arms crossed. He knew he was going to get in trouble. Once Margot told her story about trying to get out of the closet and getting all bruised up, William admitted to locking her in there with the rest of the students. They also fessed up since they didn’t want to get in more trouble than they were already in. Margot ended up moving into a new classroom on the other side of the school. Margot made new friends and she likes to talk more. She doesn’t get bullied anymore and, after seven years, she finally got to see the
