Putting full effort in everything will really show in a positive way. I know that putting full effort in all the time can be tiring, but push through it and it will be beneficial. Full effort is not only expected in school work, but in sports, too. I am in softball and dance, and I put my full effort into both of those activities along with my school work. Full effort is greatly valued in high school. Finally, being prepared is one of the most important things about high school. Most students coming from the middle school are still stuck with their "middle school" habits. For starters always have a pencil and plenty of notebook paper. Being prepared could also mean being emotionally and mentally for the day. When entering a class being prepared for the class feels a lot better than getting there and not having a clue as to what is going on. Teachers and classmates appreciate when everyone is prepared. In essence, following my guidelines will help all 8th graders to have a positive high school experience. 8th graders need to know that getting involved is good.
