Police arrested a man yesterday on suspicion of being repeatedly drunk and disorderly in charge of a horse. Arthur Brown 57 was spotted on several different occasions riding his seven year old grey mare Lusitania while apparently under the influence of alcohol. The Weekly Tribune talked to local housewife and eyewitness Annie Keenan who said You could see Arthur riding down the High Street nearly every day barely staying on that poor animal. The beast just kept trying to go back home with Arthur swaying from side to side singing at the top of his voice the whole time. His feet kept slipping out of the stirrups too. It was shocking however that lovely mare didn’t seem to mind at

I believe that JonBenet Ramsey was killed by her brother and that the parents covered up the murder. I also believe that the evidence points towards this conclusion. My version of events starts with the father putting JonBenet to bed on Christmas night. I believe that JonBenet got out of bed and went downstairs where she stole a piece of Burke’s pineapple. He got angry and hit her on the head with the flashlight.…

Many people believe that George Stinney killed Betty and Mary and that he was convicted rightly because he apparently confessed that he was the one that killed the two girls. What this argument falls to consider is that George was interrogated by many white officers during the Jim Crow era and was forced to confesse to the two murders in a small room without his parents to support him(Smolowe et al.) It is said that Stinney was successful in killing both girls at once (Smolowe et al.). How is it possible that a boy barely five feet tall and not even hundred pounds of weight can kill two girls at the same time when you add up the weight of both girls the weigh more than George weights. Therefore, George is not even close to being the murder…

The Emmett Till Murder Trial How would you react to the unjustified murder of a 14 year old child? The 1955 trail of Roy Bryant and J. W. Milam for the murder of Emmett Till, a 14 year old African American boy, was one that helped spark the widespread movement for civil rights. Emmett Till was brutally murdered and thrown into the Tallahatchie River after he had apparently flirted with a white woman. Despite clear and adequate evidence against the defendants, an all-white jury had found them to be not guilty of the murder. This sparked outrage within the African American community and eventually contributed to the rising pressure to end racial segregation in the United States.…

Two days prior to heading out for his freshman year of college, 18 year old Michael Brown Jr. was an unarmed teenager who was gunned down by a local police officer in Ferguson, Missouri. As of September 24th, 2014, the offending police officer, Darren Wilson, is on paid vacation leave and has yet to be arrested for this over-authoritative crime. In the United States we have seen too many unjust murders of unarmed black youth at the hands white individuals in a position of authority. Add this with the evidence at hand and no important arrests being made, local protestors and those around the country showed their outrage for the incompetence of the Ferguson Police Department.…

Innocence is a fragile thing, easily shattered and replace with the knowledge of how deeply rooted our culture is in violence and that there is nothing you can do about it. Very recently, a large number of people all over the United States had such an experience when an African-American unarmed teen by the name of Michael Brown was shot nine times by a Caucasian police officer, sending waves of rage across the country. Innocence can be replace by many things, one of which is perfectly demonstrated by Jem, this being knowledge. The knowledge that, say, all of your neighbors are secretly racist and will, without hesitation, convict an innocent black man for a crime he didn’t commit based on his skin color. As Judge Taylor is polling the jury…
