Each morning, everybody in the Maxwell family departs at different times. Mr. and Mrs. Maxwell have an hour drive into the city of Los Angeles each day, and deal with horrendous traffic. Thankfully, William is capable of driving Jordyn to school each day, where they both attend the same high school. William stays after school for football and leaves Jordyn to ride the bus home, which she absolutely detests. Both William and Jordyn are enrolled in GATE and honors courses. Due to his curiosity, he rips it open without hesitation. The letter was addressed to the family,and states, “Hello, I am glad you have decided to live here, I love watching your beautiful children get along. Have you heard about what happened to the kids who lived here prior? Then again, no one really knows the true story.”
