What Happened In 5th Grade

Improved Essays
In 5th grade, you had Mrs. Doctor. A lot happened in 5th grade. You went to Enterprise Village and was the mayor. You went to the Kennedy Space Center and slept under a Saturn V rocket. You were a safety patrol. You won a pride award for Science. You were one of the directors of the morning news show. You were pretty popular and had many friends.
And then middle school happened. You moved to Seminole Middle School while all of your friends went to Thurgood Marshal Fundamental. You had no friends and were pretty lost during the first half of 6th grade. Then you became friends with Nick L., Tom B., and a whole bunch of others from the Gifted Program. We all had mostly the same classes so we could collaborate on homework answers (not cheating).

At lunch, I was silent, no words, just sat there staring off in the distance.…

When I got to 4th grade the homework got a little bit harder and I lost a friend because of I don’t even know why. 4th grade is also the year when we got an octagon shaped pit, where we would play a game called Ga-ga. Ga-ga was a game where you have to hit a ball into other people without hitting the ball out of the pit. It was sorta hard to get used to and to get good at it. “ What do you want to become when you grow up” was how every discussion began when a new school year started. Each time I only had one answer: midwife. Growing up, I had to establish my way of thinking differently than other kids because I didn't come from an economically built home.…
