Do you ever think about what games they played in the medieval ages? What did the king and queens and other Medieval people play for fun? This report will explore these types of Medieval games, such as nine men's morris, fox and geese, ball games, alquerques, hammer throw, archery, hazard, stoolball, and the philosopher's game. Most of these are still played today.
Nine men’s morris is a game dating back to 1400 B.C.E . It was played in Europe it was played by royalty and servants. To get rid of one of your opponents nine characters you have to get three of your characters in a row. The games is over when you or your opponent only have two characters or you can make no more moves.

They started games such as football rugby baseball and bowling these games originated in Europe. They played them for fun and now we play those games every day so we have the NFL and the MLB because of the medieval ages.
Alquerques is a game of strategy checkers originated from Alquerques. A piece moves from spot to spot as long as the spots are connected by a line. You can jump the opponents player to take it out of the game. Just like checkers there are double jumps no piece can go where it already has been pieces can not move backward only forward the game is over when a player is out of pieces or there pieces can not move.
Hammer is one of the oldest olympic games it was played in Europe. You throw a hammer and the hammer thrown the farthest is the winner. Archery was actually a sport it was a game for fun and it helped the archers get ready for war.
