1. Provide an overview of this person’s current state of “healthy eating”.

Akama is living a very unhealthy lifestyle, and his eating habits are a big testament to that. The primary culprit seems to be his employment at a fast food burger restaurant. He “often eats at work” which is a dangerous habit to get into, especially at a fast food place. His mother is also sick, and sometimes cannot get out of bed the whole day. This would definitely limit the amount of home cooked meals that he eats, and probably forces him to eat out most nights. His family also never eats traditional meals, which if he did, might contribute to a better overall lifestyle. He gets 40% of his daily calorie intake from fats, which

He is currently not participating in any physical activity and has no goals or plans to start working out any time soon.

5. What influence do personal factors have on this person’s health?

Akama loves video games with a passion, which reminds me of my younger days. He is also overweight partially because he does not do any physical activity, and instead plays video games. Also very similar to myself. His mother being sick also does not allow him to receive wholesome, homemade meals, and probably has taken its toll on his mental health. To pile on the pressure, his dad is gone with his job days or weeks at a time, leaving Akama to essentially fend for himself.

6. What influence do environmental factors have on this person’s health?

His best friend is right next door, which is a positive factor. Sadly, Akama could be working construction with his dads friend, but lives too far from the work site, and has no way to get there on a daily basis. Starting work at a construction site could really alleviate his weight problem in two ways. One, he would be doing strenuous physical activity, which would lose him some weight, and two, he would stop eating so many burgers from his current
