What Doesn T Self-Driving Car Be The Answer?

Around the world 1.3 million people die from car accidents and is the 9th leading cause of death. By 2030 it is estimated to be the 5th leading cause in the world. How could we stop this? I believe self driving cars could be the answer because they would eliminate human error, prevent traffic jams, and change the transportation industry forever. Lets face it humans are horrible drivers and we are limited by our biology. We can only react so fast, or take in so much information at a time. An autonomous system could out perform us in almost any category. Road crashes cost the United States $230,600,000,000 per year! Self driving cars could cut that number down substantially. Remember a time when you sat behind a traffic light and when it turned green you didn’t get to move up until it was red again? This is occurring because our reaction times are creating a staggering effect. If all the cars accelerated at the same time more people would get through the intersection.
