What does writing mean to me? Everyone has a different personality and me being less of an outspoken person writing therefore plays a major role in my daily life.Writing is the main way in which I express myself, whether it be from doing class activities or just by me communicating with my friends via text messages, it also provides me with the opportunity to freely and comfortable express my thoughts for example in any individuals life there is a time when he/she experiences some form of struggle and I was no different therefore when I go threw these trying times I write about these experiences, and this frees my mind. Although overlooked it is safe to say that writing is one of the basic skills needed in order to survive in today's society

My writing experience: I didn’t start to read until I was in first grade. Every week we would go to library to check-out two books and take a test on the books we read on a computer. Every day in English we read a short story to ourselves then we would play games dealing with the story to make it fun. To be honest I never really did a lot of writing in Elementary , Middle, or High school so I can’t pinpoint when I started writing. In essay writing I learned its always good to express yourself with your own opinion.…

Personally, I have been shaped by the influence of both other writers I have known and those I have only read the creations of. Writing helps translate exactly how I feel into words so that when others read my writing, they get a solid idea of how I feel and/or what my intentions are. Overall, writing is one of the best ways of communication when compared to just talking to someone. When you talk to someone in a casual way, your words aren’t going to be as organized as a causal paper would be. But, there 's also a downside to writing a letter to someone compared to speaking to them, because, when you speak to someone, you show emotion through facial expressions and gestures; a paper cannot show emotion very well, which is why text messages can be easily…
