The best way to begin trust and honestly with your leader and follower is to start out being honest. Have a good down to earth conversation about what you expect. Inquire from your leader/follower what is expected from you. Try and find something that you have in common. Explain what the words loyalty/trust means to you. Reference some of the positive experiences of trust/ loyalty.
