The word change means to transform and become different. People go through changes in life every single day, no matter if they’re moderate or drastic. You can go through major changes like puberty or moving across the country or you can go through minor changes like dying your hair or wearing a whole new style of clothing. Even though people are constantly changing, there is still a sense of continuity in each and every person. Everyone has traits that may never change and will continue to remain the same. People can have both continuousness and modified aspects in life. For me, some major features are education, music, and friends.

When I was about seven or eight years old, a life-impacting incident occurred in my life that caused my once average education habits to majorly drop. I became very lazy in school, I didn’t care, and I was receiving bad grades do to not doing my work. My parents and teachers were unhappy with my behavior and soon enough, so was I. However, it wasn’t until I started noticing my older sister, that I became concerned with how poorly I was doing. I have a sister that is older than me by two years, and like any stereotypical younger sister, I looked up to her and wanted to be just like her. After I started to realize that she got praised for her good behavior and grades in school, I wanted to be commended as well. Though this did make me want to be a better student and did help me improve, it wasn’t a sudden change. What really changed my mindset…
