When it comes to the dealers on of the dealers doesn’t want nothing to deal with the pearl and he didn’t want to make an offer on the pearl. Also, the doctor feels that the pearl can bring him back to Paris and how luxury it was to him. In the novel on page22, paragraph 1, it states, “And the doctor’s eyes rolled up a little in their fat hammocks and he thought of Paris. He remembered the room he had lived in there as a great and luxurious place…” Also, on page 51 paragraph 4 it states, ““ Don’t include me in the discussion, he said dryly, “I will make no offer at all. I do not want it.
