Not knowing what the green light meant, we still got the picture of it being important and special to Gatsby. The life goals of Mr. Gatsby has changed since he was a young boy. In the beginning he grew up in a poor family in the Midwest. But he knew that he had a big future in front of him. So he left home and didn't look back for a long time. He wanted to be a better person, be successful, and escape from the poverty. He later met a wealthy man named Mr. Dan Cody, who took him as his son. This is when Mr. Jay Gatsby was born from James Gatz, having having a new Identity and having the opportunity to become whatever he wants to be. He has the freedom to make up his childhood of growing up rich, then later meets a girl named Daisy. They soon fell for each other and make a promise that Daisy would wait for him after the war and marry him. Unable to keep her promise, Gatsby's new life goal is to win Daisy back from Tom Buchanan. He does so by purchasing decorations for the most extravagant parties that are thrown hoping that Daisy will be curious and want to stop and see the party. I want to be more Independent and not having to rely on my parents to pay money for everything that I want. It is time for me to grow up and be able to go out in the world. My parents have both done enough to get me through my first twelve years of school. The had to pay for everything from diapers to my graduation party and the expenses increases higher and higher every second. My life goals to achieve going to college is first completing and graduating high school with amazing grades. And then getting a job for money to pay for an apartment with all the necessities that I would need to manage a healthy lifestyle. Growing up on a reservation is not easy, because most most of the time there is not hope and encouragement to go beyond the boundaries from where you grew up. There are rarely some family that move off the reservation to go and live in a city. It makes it hard by not having the financial stability that is needed to survive in a city with with a family. For us, we got lucky that we had enough money to move from a reservation by Albuquerque to the city Phoenix. We had help and support from my grandparents mostly and others family members that had already lived in Phoenix. But from that day of first living living in Phoenix, I knew that there was enough hope to be able to do anything with my life. I was given the amazing opportunity to go to amazing school
