The Fellowship of the Ring is an awesome book. J.R.R. Tolkien uses a lot of detail in this story. He uses a number of imagery that makes the things he writes about almost feel like i'm right there. There seems to be a lot of imagery in this book because it combines fantasy, fiction, and fable into an amazing heroic journey.
In this book a young hobbit named Frodo is the heir of the legendary Bilbo Baggins of the Shire. The Shire is Frodo and Bilbo’s peaceful home. Frodo is given the ring as a gift from Bilbo. Later he learns about the rings strange past. He then decides that he needs to destroy it with the help of a few people that Frodo got assigned from a great elf, elrond. These new friends are the nine individuals chosen to go with Frodo,
