In 1980, a law as passed, which prevented people under 21 to buy or drink alcohol. It was made to lower the number of traffic deaths caused by young drivers. But raising the drinking age has not reduced drinking. Cause now people who are under age, are using secret underground location. I think this causes more of a life risk, because now teenagers will be drinking with other teenagers, which causes higher risk since there are no adults watching them. A 2009 study on Alcohol and Drugs showed that between the year 1997 and 2005, the number of alcohol poisoning death of 18 to 23 year olds have tripled. This was caused by all the underground drinking. This is also caused by a lack of education about alcohol. Most teens do not know how to drink
