What Does The American Dream Mean To Me

The idea of the American Dream is that if you work hard, you can be successful and build a better life for yourself and your family. Millions of Americans have believed in this for many generations. But does the American Dream still exist? We ask ourselves this because many families struggle to make ends meet every day, for many years, only to fall further behind. What is happening to the American Dream? What does the American Dream mean today? To some, it can mean being able to find a good enough job to pay off your student loans before you die. To others, it can mean going through life without living out of a shopping cart or living in the streets. What does the American Dream mean to me? Well, it used to be a beautiful home in a nice place, a good job, and raising a family, but I’ve come to known how much it has evolved. If we’re lucky enough, we get to choose what we want to do in life. But most us are stuck trying to find a fair job that pays the bills on time. At one point, the American Dream used to mean having a home to call your own, having a car, taking a vacation now and then, but now it’s about survival. More people worry about having food on their table and having a roof over their than anything else.
