What truly amazes me is when we push our bodies to its limits playing a sport. Sports are a huge deal in today's society-we are taught at very young ages to push and excel at your sport. Even just the sense of belonging you feel with a team involves health. You need a healthy mind and body in sports. However, the trouble with throwing the word “sport” around is that most people would not be able to correctly define exactly what a sport is. Some will say there has to be a ball, but what about hockey? They don’t use a ball. Others say a sport has to require skill, but someone can be skilled at balancing a pen on their lips but that is not a sport. According to Merriam-Webster’s definition, a sport is a contest or game in which people do certain physical activities according to a specific set of rules and compete against each other.…

As a cheerleader my strengths include being very determined, hard-working, and most importantly spirited. Especially when it comes to stunting, making sure everyone in my stunt group is using the right technique so that each time it goes up it hits, even if it doesn't I make sure to move on and learn from each mistake and try to make the next attempt better. Technique is very important to me not only with stunting but cheering and dancing as well. I know that with each cheer or dance there are motions and movements that are supposed to look a certain way to give an illusion or at least to make us look all in sink. When it comes to performances I make sure to give my all and give as much attitude and sass that I can, adding a little hair flip…
