My Most Important Value: Respect
Explanation: Having respect is one of the most important values to have. When I first meet someone, I look for a kind and caring person who respect me for who I am. When I think about respect, I see someone who will show passion and caring for me. Someone who will listen to me and actually care about what I am saying. If I don’t get that feeling when I meet someone, I really don't see a reason to give them my friendship. Having respect is a daily part of my life in many ways. Going to school, I can’t just get up in the middle of the class and start screaming, or walk out of the classroom without saying anything. If I

This habit about having the mindset that everyone can win. There should be no loser no matter what happens. It is about being able to respect everyone’s opinions. Having this mindset will help the group work together and be able to focus on what is the goal. I don’t think anyone should feel like I am pushing them down or that I am taking over. Everyone should be at an equal level so everyone can work with each other. This will lead to success of the goal in the end. This habit is a strength of mine because I have experienced being pushed down by others in a group, and it doesn’t make me feel good or wanted. When I am working towards a goal with a lot of people, I make sure everyone has some input so no one feels discluded or that they are the only one making an effort. A quote that really explains this habit is, “Think Win-Win is an attitude toward life, a mental frame of mind that says I can win. And so can you. It’s not me or you, it’s both of us” (Covey, 1998). This quote came from the book, and I think it means a lot and can have a huge impact on people. It is saying that I want to be able to win, but so does everyone else. I want to make sure everyone can have the amazing feeling of accomplishment including myself. This is my personal strength because that is what I try to do. I think it is important to feel like everyone can accomplish something, so …show more content…
Habit 4 is Think Win-Win, which is about having a positive mindset that everyone can accomplish something. The factory workers were never on time, which is saying they don’t really care of they don’t want to do it. They never took the initiative to get the job done without asking a bunch of questions or wasting time. They would also never complete a task which also shows that they were not that interested in what they needed to accomplish. Since they had these mindsets, they were not able to complete tasks. This also means they did not have the win-win mindset since they didn’t care and didn’t think they could do

Habit 1 is about being proactive. Being proactive is all about "thinking before they act" (Covey 57). Being proactive could be something just little and simple and easy. Key stone habits are big things that influence the way that we spend our daily lives. These habits are more important than our other habits because they can make a change that can start a chain reaction. Key stone habits explain that " Success doesn't depend on getting every single thing right, but instead relies on identifying a few key priorities and fashioning them into powerful levers"(Duhigg 100-101). This explains that change has to begin from something that will make a difference to help other priorities change. Small wins are wins that "fuel trans formative changes by leveraging tiny advantages into patterns that convince people that bigger achievements are within reach" (Duhigg 112).…

The habit of mind that I believe I made the most progress in this semester is, written communication. Written communication is an effective writer who effectively persuades, fixes their message to the audience, can examine and convey complex ideas, produces clear and coherent writing, plans, revises, and edits. An example of my work which has written communication was the Zheng He essay. I was an effective writer during the introduction paragraph because I produced clear and coherent writing. Such as, “Zheng He should be celebrated in Chinese civilization because he sailed greater distances than anyone else during his time, and he managed large ship sizes while also maintaining huge amount of boats and crewman.”…
