In there short stories the authors want us to know that we can hurt are self by feeling guilt or anger or some other feeling like that. in the lame to the slaughter The wife hurt her by killing her husband. the authors was thing to teach one more thing selfish it happen in both stories the husband leva the wife and then the wife kills the hauban in the lame to the slaughter in the author's story the husband want the baby and the wife want the baby and they fight over the baby.

My opinion of this story is that the husband and wife’s in both story are selfish and that tha can hurt there whon feeling the both are selfish fighting over a baby and killing your husband in the lame
