Beyoncé is a well-known American singer, songwriter, record producer and actress. She won 17 Grammy awards. Her song Pretty Hurt got a reward for the best video with a social message. Therefore that really connect with my theme self-confidence. Today in society many people suffer from low self-esteem because they are a outcast or different from other people, in line 9 she say “Perfection is a disease of a nation, pretty hurts, pretty hurts”. Low self-confidence can lead to metal problems like suicide, depression, and not stepping out your comfort zones. In line 41 it says “you stripped away the masquerade (pretty hurts, pretty hurts). The individual becoming the person they always wanted to be “themselves”. Just as a Beyoncé had to adapt to society when she was first become famous to get fans and make her music sell. Beyoncé had to change the way she dress, her looks by getting a makeover or injection from booty to chest. Now that she famous and a millionaire she can do as she please I know she still have guide lines but not as many when she first become famous. Building yourself up from having low self-esteem can very difficult at time but once you overcome your obstacles and establish that you are someone then life will have a way new meaning. Truth number two titled, “Perfection is Normal”, talks about how. In one point of the koan, it talks about how it would be wiser to worry about a meteor crashing on your computer than to worry about a character being wrong in an email because of computer error. I agree that in some aspects of computers, we should not worry about whether if will fail or not and if it does then you compromise and find another way to do it When you send a bit, it detects if there is an error and corrects the error and sends it on its way. If you send a bit to someone, that person will receive an identical copy of your bit without error. I agree that if you send bits to someone that they will receive those bits without error.…

__I think the meaning of the song that Beyoncé wrote is describing pain and what females have to go to or young teens go through, trying to impress the world, and society. How that all what we do don’t mean anything or how we present ourselves maybe we aren’t too happy on the inside maybe everything isn’t all that’s well. I like the song genre because it really feels like music for our souls trying to heal it also. The new generation now we teenagers are affected by this particular song. I think the most powerful lyrics of the song is “pretty Hurts”, because that is the pain of the song the ultimate feelings that’s what she’s trying to get the audience to understand.…

I decided to research gender stereotypes after studying “Pretty Hurts” by Beyonce. The writer raises the issue of how the media tells young women how to act and look if they want to be seen as “perfect”. This made me think about how girls all over the world are constantly trying to be seen as “perfect” and the lengths they go to better themselves. To find out more about how this applies to the real world, I decided to do my research report on this. My hypothesis is: “In today 's society woman are only judged by appearance, not by brains or personality”.…

In Beyoncé performances and lyrics on stage, she always makes a visual and speaks on how it's important to be an individual, your own independent person that is powerful. Although, if women were to be more prominent in the world, life, family and work priories will crash fiercely. As long as women are bearing the children in our species, women will not view child rearing and child care in the same way as men do, and will prioritize the responsibilities around it differently. Beyoncé sings in harmony about how women run the world, but why don't we actually run it, women are capable of so many astonishing accomplishments, but they're all hidden by the shadow of a man. Women deserve to be prominent in the world we now live if it’s what they desire for; it shouldn’t be that hard to treat women…
