NJHS represents all of the effort I have put in through middle school and how I am being rewarded. When you are a member of NJHS, it means that you are an individual who is hardworking, that will never stop trying to do your best and succeed and anything you set your mind to. It is for students who take pride in themselves and will help the community around them. NJHS members have good character and know how to make good decisions that will be beneficiation for the future.
Community service is way that people can build character and make the lives of people around them better. When you are volunteer your mindset changes from what can I do for myself to how can I help others around me. When you start helping people you feel pride that you were able to do something for the people around you. It opens your lens about the world around you, about how everyone is not as fortunate and well off as you are.
NJHS also means that the members have good character. Forms to measure character are responsivity and decision making.. A form of character is that the person takes care of their responsibilities. One of the my biggest responsibilities is schools work. NJHS represents how much effort I put into school work in the past three years, I had to study for tests,

One with good character will do the right thing even when nobody's watching. The reason for doing their actions is because it is simply the right to do. There are many important decisions that people face day to day. Before making a decision it is important to think about the long lasting effects and the pros and cons. Examples of decisions that I made was to choose to do push myself harder in school by taking high school courses in middle such as Earth Science and Algebra 1.
