For example, Nick starts to act differently because he is the type of person to be reserved and to himself but at the party all the characters get him into drinking and he starts to behave like everyone else in the party and acts outrageously unlike himself. Which consists of making out with random women which unlike the way he is and he acted at home. As The characters start partying, drinking and all having a good time it shows they all share a common interest. Some of the characteristics shown within the characters are both different and similar. For instance, both Gatsby and myrtle hope to achieve their goals with their significant other so they could achieve everything they've ever wanted. Daisy’s actions represent that she ever wanted to marry Tom at all and realizes that her social and economic status will always be among the filthy rich.
