Instead of thinking about what it means to be human people should question what makes us any different from all other forms of life on the planet. After all, homospaiens share 98% of their DNA with apes. What makes us any different from them? When did we surpass them in evolution? To be human means to want more than survival, humans have adapted their physical differences, morality and became proactive.
The most noticeable difference between humans and other life forms on earth are our physical differences.Through evolution, the human cranial capacity and brain cerebral cortex is more complex compared to primates, which are closest to humans. This helped improved human's ability to modify and adapt to environments. Also , since the brain is more complex it has helped us develop cultures.Paleoanthropologist have discovered many skeletons which help to better understand the evolution of humans.Humans have made major evolutionary adaptations that primates haven’t.One that may seem simple to people is walking on two legs.Bipedalism has given humans the ability to carry more things at once, walk long distances effectively and use tools.Anthropologist have spent centuries studying humans as species.Without all the adaptions we made physically , humans would not have become the species we are today.
