According to them, they suggest that men and women should not have same names. However, they are misleading because many males and females have similar names. Thus, there should be no bias in each name. In fact, the names should be unisex because it is not the name that decide the make-up or character of an individual. Nothing should ever be based by gender because by doing so it lessens the rights of people. Although certain names like Avery, Brady or Kacie are more common with females, many males can have these unique names. “Why do these names have to be gendered?” The names should just be considered unisex because each name given to and infant should not be based on their gender, but on what the parents want their child to be named. Some girls become presidents of their businesses while men run hair and nail salons. With each job of this issue, it would have sounded absurd fifty years ago. Next, in “How to be a Women Programmer” Ellen Ullman illustrated the hardships that a woman must endure in her work place because of her sex. One disappointing fact is that in the reading it, it stated that the programmer’s bosses said, “I hate to hire all you girls but you’re too damned smart.” This should never be an issue because if an individual does the job right, it should not matter what sex they happen to be. As a result, if a man was doing the same exact job will them considered them a girl, this is truly wrong and that is why it there should not be any gender bias in the workplace. By having less stereotypes, the women will feel more equal in their workplace and be satisfied with their work instead of feeling worthless just because of their sex. This is going to be a never-ending issue unless we find ways to avoid using gender in our everyday
