To be free is an act that allows individuals to make self- sufficient decisions that make one be who they believe to be. Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi are individuals who spread the message of what it means to be truly free. True freedom is allowing the diverse population to cohabitate peacefully. To have the right to be truly free is to not have to be seen differently because of skin color, sexual orientation, or belief system. Being able to live racially diverse without segregation is an essence of being truly free. Since ancient civilization there has been a separation of races. One of the most known separations of races is the slavery of African Americans. African natives where captured and enslaved to work
