What Does It Mean To Be Diversity Essay

Diversity is one of many things that I believe a college should have. In order to meet the needs of all students, a school should be diverse in many different areas. One of these areas being in the classroom. No one learns the exact same way as another student, so I believe that classrooms being diverse with the ways they teach are very important in the learning process. Another area that a college should be diverse in is the classes, activities, and clubs that they offer. Many different ideas and opportunities help people to grow and accept one another better. I believe that everyone is created equal and that also means that everyone should be treated equally. Absolutely no one should be left behind because they aren’t like the majority. Whether that be in a classroom setting or a generic day-to-day setting. Inclusion is something that a lot of people struggle with. I would accept everyone I meet as who they are and encourage them to be themselves. Voicing your opinion is extremely important and can create change in the world. I love meeting new people and I know that if I were to go to Maryville University it would expand my views on the world and the people in it. I intend on carrying what I will learn at Maryville University on throughout my entire life. These values are extremely important in the society we live in. I think that capitalizing on diversity is something more colleges need to do.
