What Does It Mean To Be A Hero

While reading Julius Caesar by Shakespeare, I could not help but remember the words that were once spoken to me “To die a hero or to see yourself become the villain”. When I first heard these words, it was by one of my subordinates as he broke the news that he will be moving to different base, after we had work so hard in bringing him up thru the ranks and as he had finally gain the trust of those around him. As I attempted to change his mind he said to me “I rather die as the hero than see myself turn into a villain”, he believed those below him had gone from supporting him to criticizing his every move. When a person moves thru the ranks a few things tend to happen, first is the jealousy of those who have been left behind/ begins to rise
