I signed up for the role of a leader with strengths as honesty, sense of humor and creativity. I was not just about strengths; I had my own weaknesses that I was able to overcome by getting the opportunity to become a leader in grade 9 art class. These strengths helped to build a strong rapport with my teacher-mentor and with students. Honesty is a trait that I admire because I am willing to listen and give an honest response. It also portrays that one can be trusted in word and deed. Through this semester, I have been nothing but honest with the students and have given honest voice if asked for. Many times, I found myself in situations where I was to give my thoughts on students' artwork or suggestions if any improvements was needed in the artwork; I would appreciate their artwork and would give out suggestions. When I give an honest reply, I see appreciation in students'’ eyes and I encourage them to put their complete potential in their work. This inspires me to implant the seed of respect, honesty, and confidence in students’ minds. My second greatest strength is a sense of humor, which I believe, is essential when a leader finds him/her into certain situations. In the class, I managed to keep everyone engrossed and motivated. This skilled helped to cheer students up and direct their attention to the positive side. Many times, I noticed that students find negative things in themselves and their work. In those times, I used humor to change their negative feelings and thoughts into positive view. Instead of resenting the slip-ups, they should humor them and find a way to fix them. I believe that a sense of humor in the class environment helps students to stay focused and learn more efficiently. For example, a student added a section onto their art, but did not like it. The student asked me, my opinion and I noticed that she criticized her art a lot. I tried to get her to
