What Does Integrity Mean To Me

Decent Essays
Integrity is a strong part of in my character. A big portion is controlled by the values I choose to have in my life. The thing I value in life the most is my religion. I was born into the Southern Baptist Community by two amazing parents who have raised me right. Having growing up with Christ in my life helped me put up strict morals and values on myself; such as respect for others, responsibility for my own personal actions, loyalty, generosity and kindness. Showing respect to others and taking responsibility for my actions are two values I take serious, no matter how bad a situation or conflict with someone might seem I always make sure to see the wrong that I have done and make sure to respect what the other person expresses me and their actions. I am not a problem person, however I do love to be the problem solver, love to help others and bring out the kindness and generosity in them.

Despair in other hand means that as a person gets older they feel unaccomplished, disappointed and unhappy in where they stand in life. They feel they didn’t accomplish everything they wanted and are unsatisfied with their lives. “Persons are depressed about disappointments, failures and missed chances in life” (Hearn et al., 2011, p. 2). Personal Leadership Philosophy: When developing my own leadership philosophy, I prioritized the leader’s commitment and persistence towards the group’s goal and mission. In practice, a strong level of commitment is necessary for the functional success of a group. It is important for leaders to remain committed and persistent to the group’s overall goal, so that they can, in turn, impose that same level onto the other group members as well. Northouse describes a leader as one who can “provide followers with a vision and a sense of mission” by modeling their own level of commitment (191).…
