You have to work hard in order to get to where you want to be. Also, you have to put in effort to work hard. Once you put in the right amount of effort you will be successful. To be even more successful and excel even more you need to put in more work than everyone else and be an overachiever. Think about it this way, if you fill out a college application are they going to accept the person who does the bare minimum or are they going to accept the stellar overachiever. Of course, they are going to accept the overachiever because they know you are not going to play around at their college. They know you will be one you does very good in school and works hard to get what they want. That is what schools want because they want to have the smartest and hardest working students. Then future students will look at the college and want to go their because they see that the students there are smart and hardworking. Then they both benefit because the student gets a good education (if they claim if, of course) and the college gets their money. That is the cycle and why colleges will only accept the best students. You don’t have to be the smartest but as long as you put in effort and hard work you will get somewhere in life. I learned this going into middle school because I wasn’t the smartest and I didn’t enjoy going to school. I told myself that I have to make school worthwhile and that I wasn’t going to be like the rest of people just sitting around living off minimum wage. I knew that to live good you have to do good in school and claim your education. See, the difference is that I can go to the same school as someone else and we can have the same skills and abilities, but if I claim my education and he doesn’t, I’m going to be the person who lives well making a lot of money while he lives off a little paycheck if he even gets a job. That’s the difference. So, I started paying more attention in school, I started doing
