Flattery and praise is given so freely that it may go unnoticed, when it crosses our lips or flows into our ears. But whenever you need someone to give you some motivation, to give you praise. Than it always seems that there is nobody around to lend you a helping and kind word. What would you do if you were on your own with depleting motivation?
Everyone needs and deserves a little flattery and praise every once in awhile. Hearing praise about something you feel accomplished with and proud of, is like giving someone a gold medal for putting on their shoes. It should be done without thought to those around us. Sometimes when you need to hear praise the most, like when you are frustrated or stressed about a project moving slowly, no one is around to help lift your spirits. Sometimes you are on your own to raise your self confidence, and complete the task at hand. When you are stressed out at a project your confidence and motivation tends to plummet, and it seems like a hopeless situation to see the end of, but if you step back and look at all that you have done and accomplished prior, you can see that you can also accomplish this task. That confidence you have gained from accomplishing previous things can also carry on and give you confidence in the future. If you have the confidence to run the first mile of a race, why is it much difference to continue that confidence for the last lap.
